ABOUT

Affectionately also known as TQC, THE QUILT, THE QUILT SOCIAL CLUB, not a quilting club, and that thing that Sriya partially moved to New York for. 

What is THE QUILT CONNECTS?

Plainly, TQC is an event business. Building events and experiences near you to connect you to community. We host a variety of different types of events ranging from crafting and outdoor exploration to networking events and glamorous nights out on the town. 

Where are your events?

Currently we exist in NYC across all the 5 boroughs. 
Previously we were all over San Diego (don’t worry SD we’ll be back in due time). In the future we’ll be global. San Diego to the world!

Why events? Why not a fixed location business?  

  1. Why not?
  2. TQC’s goal is always to connect people together in new places and spaces and having a fixed location at this time does not make sense with the variation of the events that will be created (+ babe you think I got that type of money to get a physical space with $0 like that, thattssss crazy) but, one day we will and it will be glorious.
  3. I want TQC to be agile and in addition to standing alone I want people to know TQC in collaboration with other organizations, businesses, people, and more. To collaborate and uplift and curate experiences with them as much as we do stand on our own, like we build community we also want to engage and participate in our community which is done through said collaboration. 
  4. The limited nature of the event causes you to make a decision: will you come to an event or won’t you come to an event. The event won’t be here next week and even if we do bring something back, it won’t be the same. You never know what you’re gonna get. (To clarify You’ll be getting a good time but there will be some other variables)
  5. Finally, what’s that old saying? If you can’t find it, build it.

If you started in SD, why move to NYC?

  4. I wanted to infuse the rich culture of NYC into the brand and push TQC to grow in only a way that NYC could allow for. 
  5. Plus I want to swing big and be a small fish in a big pond. And quite frankly you can get into a bigger and more interesting pond in the US.

So, TQC is the plane that is being built while it’s flying. I know it’s a bit drafty in here but I hope you strap in and enjoy the view as we build
